Cookie Policy
Last updated 5 October 2026
Cookies are small files that a website saves in your browser. This page lists the cookies we use and how to change your choice.
Your choice
When you first visit, we ask if you are happy for us to use ad cookies. Saying no is just as easy as saying yes. Nothing to do with ads runs until you say yes.
You can change your mind at any time. Use the “Cookie settings” link at the bottom of every page.
Cookies we always use
These keep the site working. We cannot turn them off. Some are saved in your browser’s storage, which works like a cookie.
| Name | What it does | How long |
|---|---|---|
| twc_consent | Remembers your cookie choice so we do not ask again on every page. | 12 months |
| twc_quiz_v1 | Saves your answers while you fill in our questions, so they are not lost if the page reloads. | Until you close the tab |
Ad cookies
We only use these if you say yes.
| Name | What it does | How long |
|---|---|---|
| _fbp | Set by Meta (Facebook and Instagram). Helps Meta tell us which of our ads bring people to the site. | 3 months |
| _fbc | Set by Meta when you arrive by tapping one of our ads. It records that tap. | 3 months |
| multiFbc | Set by Meta. Keeps a list of the ad taps that brought you here. | Until you clear it |
| lastExternalReferrer, lastExternalReferrerTime | Set by Meta. Records which site you came from and when. | Until you clear it |
If you say yes, Meta may also use its own cookies on its own sites. You can read how Meta uses them in Meta’s cookie policy.
We may add Google ad tools later. They will only run if you say yes. We will list them here first.
A record of your choice
When you choose, we keep a private record so we can show what you agreed to. It holds a random code, your choice, the date and time, the page you were on and the type of browser you used. It does not hold your name or IP address. We keep it for up to 2 years.
If you say no to ad cookies after saying yes, we delete the Meta items listed above from your browser straight away.
Your browser settings
You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings. If you block all cookies, we cannot remember your choice and will ask again.
